#306: Beyond Food and Exercise

As promised, here is part two of my thoughts and reflections after watching the Netflix docuseries: Live to 100: Lessons from the Blue Zones.

In last week's show, I talked about the lessons we have to learn from how people who live in these regions eat and move… and to break it down in the simplest of terms:

They eat mostly plants, foods they grow, very little that is processed.

They move a lot, they garden, they walk, they do manual labor (ie. no kitchen aid in these regions).

So there's that, but what I really wanted to talk about this week was what they do beyond food and exercise that seems to contribute to their longevity…

Their sense of community.

Their sense of purpose.
