#349: How I’m approaching change and what is surprising me

podcast 349

This week on the podcast, I’m reflecting on my first month of working both at the studio and in my new role at the New Art Center and how I’m approaching this change.

Heading into this new role, I thought my biggest challenge would be sitting all day and keeping up my energy. And while the sitting part is still a work in progress (yes I’m working on getting the team moving in the office), I've been pleasantly surprised by how much energy and brain space I have for this work.

One thing that’s helping? Returning to The Daily Stoic.

This daily reader by Ryan Holiday, which was first introduced to me by my biz bff five years ago, has been exactly what I need to help me to stay grounded, focus on what I can control, and not get swept up in external chaos.

So, my question for you: What’s something you thought would be your biggest challenge—but turned out to be something else entirely?
