#261: What do you fashion yourself to be?

I'd NEVER considered myself an athlete until my friend referred to me as one.

“I'm not an athlete!” I proclaimed.

She looked at me and said: You just ran a 10k, of course you are.

And that was the first moment where I fashioned myself to be an athlete.

I tried that cloak on.

And well, about 14 years later, look where that led me…

It makes me think about how we often don't think we are worthy of describing ourselves in certain ways… How it often takes someone else pointing it out to us.
